O'Byrne's is a home for live music in downtown Edmonton's Ice District. Live bands through the week, Celtic sessions, and a monthly comedy night, all a few minutes from Rogers Place.
Live music through the week
We host live music every Thursday and Friday evening, with local players filling the room. It's free to walk in, easy to settle into, and exactly the kind of night out a good Irish pub is built for.
Celtic sessions every other Saturday
Every other Saturday we run a Celtic music session from 2:00pm to 5:00pm. Pull up a chair, order a pint, and let the fiddles and bodhrans do the rest. Check the homepage calendar for the next session date.
Comedy night once a month
On the last Monday of the month we hand the room over to comedy. It's a lively, low-key night and a fine excuse to start the week with a laugh and a pint.

A proper pub room for live music
Half of what makes a night great is the room, and ours is warm, lived-in, and close to the stage, the kind of Irish pub where the music and the crowd feed off each other. There's no big ticket and no barrier between you and the players, just good sound, a full pint, and a room that knows how to enjoy itself.
Make a night of it
Come early and eat before the music starts. The full menu is on all day, and there's a properly poured Guinness waiting. Booking a table ahead is wise on music nights, and you can reserve online in moments.
